Merced Multicultural Arts Center

Located within five blocks of highway 99 in the center of the San Joaquin Valley and in the heart of a revitalized Downtown Merced, The MAC offers a wide variety of classroom, conference, and general meeting spaces to meet all of your personal or professional facility needs. The Arts Center boasts 9 modular class/conference rooms as adaptable to a ballet or watercolor class as to a management seminar or deposition.

2-hour minimum rental fee on all rooms except darkroom and kitchen

Multiply hourly rates x1.5 outside of normal operating hours for usage or occupation.

Minimum 50% down required at time of booking - Balance due on date of event.

A cleaning deposit and set-up fee may be required. Clean-up is billed at $25 per hour. Third floor activity may be restricted when an event is taking place in the theater below.

20% DISCOUNT ON HOURLY ROOM RATES TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITH 501(C)(3) STATUS.
RATES SUBJECT TO PERIODIC ADJUSTMENTS BASED ON OPERATIONAL COSTS.

LONG-TERM RENTAL AGREEMENTS AND FEES FOR ARTS-RELATED INSTRUCTION MAY BE NEGOTIATED WITH THE CENTER’S DIRECTOR.

THEATER

The 2,400 sq. ft. “black box” Theater offers a wide range of uses with its modular riser and staging system, 24 channel 2000 watt pro sound system, and a state of the art theater lighting system which can be programmed from the spacious control room overlooking the theater. Theater dimensions are 40’ x 60’. Maximum seated capacity: 240

Add $75 per hour outside of standard hours of operation or beyond 8 hours of usage or space occupation. If the Main Gallery is utilized for functions other than theater access and program intermissions w/o set-up, include Main Gallery rental fee.

LIGHT & SOUND rates do NOT include technicians for events. **3 hour ($60) minimum charge for THEATER LIGHTING.

20% discount on theater per day rate for service organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

Security/cleaning deposit must accompany application. All fees are to be paid in full prior to the start of the event. Events requiring excessive clean-up will be charged $25 per hour and billed in excess of monies paid.
