WHAT: When Patti Smith met Sam Shepard in the summer of 1970, their connection was authentic and electric. They quickly became inseparable, engaged in a tumultuous love affair, spending their days holed up at the Chelsea hotel sharing art, poetry, music, and stories. This play provides insight into the imaginations and aspirations of these struggling artists who would later become American icons. Running time: 50 minutes with no intermission. Mature audiences only. Directed by Adam Bryx and Lauren McCue-Bryx. Funded by the Heartland Creative Corps grant.
